tab The only one that I looked so much alike is my mother. Well, use to before now. She had long black glossy hair. I loved playing with her hair. Even though she realize that I over do it with her hair. One time I accidentally, painted her hair with green paint. In the moonlight, her eyes glittered so brightly like the stars. When she held me in her arms, I felt so safe with her. Mother’s warmth made me feel like I was in a cloud.
When I was four years-old my mother died of an unknown disease. The doctors couldn’t figure it out. My dad was away in business trips. I stayed with my mom in the hospital all the time. She would tell me stories about Princesses, mythical creatures and other little kids stories. Until one day, I woke up and I was holding my mom’s hand. I always did when I fell asleep. It was a habit. I noticed that my mom wasn’t holding my hand as she always did. Then I heard a straight beeping noise and looked at the machine that showed mother’s heart rate.
“Mommy?” I whispered and shook her hand. She didn’t response me.
“Mommy…” I said louder. My mom didn’t move or opened her eyes. “MOMMY!!!!” I screamed this time and kept yelling in terror. The door opened and the nurse called for a doctor. I didn’t stop calling my mom’s name. My vision started to become blurry. The nurse came over to the bed and grabbed me. I was kicking and screaming for her to let me go. She didn’t and the last thing I saw before the door closed was the doctor shaking his head. I didn’t want to believe it! When my father receive the news about mother. He looked down at me and picked me up.
“Everything will be alright.” He told me, “Everything will be all right.” That was a lie.
Four years later after my mother’s death, I was at home one day. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was watching TV. Then the door opened and my dad came in. He had his business coat hanging from his arm and his suit case in his hand. He was tall and looked like a wrestler. Well, he did wrestle in his High School. Father was the owner of a huge company. Except father had other secrets of how he ran his business. He also hired men for his protection but also to murder other people that got in his way. The police or the FBI can't find evince of the murders. I was the only one that knew. I tried once calling the police about what my father was doing. He caught me and told them that I was just playing a joke. After the police left, my father turned around and looked down at me. His eyes appeared with angry. I gulped and step back when he took a step forward me. He slapped right across my face hard. I hit my head on the wall and yelled in pain. I placed my hand on my cheek and stared at him with confusion in my eyes.
“HOW DARE YOU?!!” he yelled at me and grabbed me from my hairs. I shrieked in pain. He dragged me by my hair and took me to a room that I didn’t know about that existed in the house. Father threw me into the room and hit my head against the wall.
“W-Where am I?” I-I heisted to ask.
He grinned at me and stroked my cheek. “Some place that you don’t know about.”
My whole body shivered from his touch. Then I saw him grab something. Whatever he grabbed, he started to beat me up with it. I yelled at him to stop and tried to get out of the room. It was no use. He was too strong. After a while, I was laying on the floor crying.
“If you call the police again. It would be worse for than what I did to you today.” he explained and closed the door to the room. I heard a click from the door and assumed that he locked it. My body was in so much pain, that I didn’t dare to move an inch. That night I would never forget what happen.
Three days later, my father let me go. When I looked at him, he smiled down at me.
“How are you feeling, my dear girl?” he asked and laughed. I shivered and didn’t answer him.
“Don’t answer me. Now get the hell out of this room.” he ordered. I struggle to get up and kept flinching in pain. “Hurry up!!!”
I finally raised on my feet and walked out of the room. Before I went to my room, father grabbed my chin and pulled me close.
“If you tell anyone of this I will kill you. Nobody wants here you. Your mother is gone and now you’re mine. If the police or anyone comes to aide you. I will kill them and you. No one will remember about you. Welcome to hell my dear daughter.” he breathed into my face. His breath smelled liked beer and cigarettes. He’s the worst father out of the world. This is how my life started. This is how I officially became the “Forgotten Child.”
It was the next morning, and father would be arriving in three days. Sunday morning and I had to do some cleaning to do before he came home. I pushed the covers off me and sat up. My feet touched the cold hard floor and stalked over to my closet. I took of my pajamas and pulled on a plain dark red t-shirt and short black jeans. I marched over to the bathroom and turned the light on. The light bother my eyes a bit and reached over for my toothbrush. I started to brush my teeth and looked at myself in the mirror. The thing that was staring back at me was an ugly and miserable girl. I spitted into the sink and wiped my mouth with a towel. I brushed my hair real quick and stood in front my closet again. I pulled on some socks and put on my black tennis shoes on. I sighed and headed to the door. I stood in front of it.
“Eleven years has passed…since you died mom…” I said breathless.
