Rain spattered on my window as I looked out into the darkening sky. /So much for traning today/ I thought. I sighed towards my ceiling.
"It rains a lot here, huh?" Hiro said from across the room. "It'll be a'ight, Rei. It's okay."
"So much for you to say! You get training no matter what the weather!" I shot back, merely out of anger.
/Why does it always go the right way for him? It's almost as if he got all the good genes when the egg split, and I got the rejects. He has the luck, the kindness, the attitude, and the looks. Well, not so much the looks, we have the same on that one./ I sighed again.
"Oh, come on Rei-rei. I didn't get everything."
/Oh, right, I forgot about the mind thing. Adding that to the list as well./
"Oh, shoosh." He said to me. "I just... er... trained my mind... Yeah... That's it."
"Ha. Right. The one thing I have is being a good liar. Oh, and I'm not akward either," I smirked.
"You also have the insane ability to be crazy sarcastic."
"Now that's a life skill I'm proud to have," I beamed.
"Don't we know..." Hiro trailed off.
"Love ya too," I replied.
Sometimes I love him, and somtimes I hate him, but Hiro's always there for me. My older brother by an hour is my best friend. My confidence. My all. He knows me better than I know myself. He always knows what I'm thinking, but then again, he knows what everyone's thinking. Still, he knows how to help me in every situation. I love him, and he, hopefully, loves me. I know one day Hiro will be the best warrior out there, because he has me, the reliable sister.
/I'm always here.../ I thought, forgetting he could hear me.
"I know, love," he said, walking across the room to the window. I blushed.
"How do I forget, when you do that all the time?"
"I got the memory, too," He said, giving me a hug. I laughed, but then was overwhelmed with a sense of absolute dread.
"What's up?" Hiro said tensely. He knew the moment I was upset, he always did, but this time was different.
"I... dunno," I was running short on breath, it was coming in gasps. Something was really wrong. I closed my eyes. Visions flashed across my mind. There was fire, and wind, corpses were lying across the floor, barely distinguishable.
"What the hell...?" Hiro said. "That's not... is it?"
"I-I think it is..." Their was a fierce determination in his eyes, but it was mixed with fear. I knew mine only held fear. For what I had seen, was bad. Very, very bad.

Description:
I lost the Renegades folder where I had written most of that story. I needed somthing more to write, so, I guess this is it. Rei and Hiro are twins, about 14 years old. Their story begins on a rainy day. Rei is in mage training, while Hiro is training to be a warrior. I left it at a cliffhanger-ish ending. I promise this time, unlike the Renegades, there will be a part two, perhaps three.
As usual, I'd really like critisism, as long as it's constructive,
With love,
