- Lo do we come across Ormagon as he crosses a mountain path whilst on his journey to bring the Justice of the gods to those who would evade it. It is a day of peaceful climate and disarming mood and Ormagon takes the moment to rest his weary legs under a tree. Little does Ormagon suspect that as he relaxes to the song of a sparrow above his head, that indeed the sparrow does not appreciate his presence in turn. In truth the sparrow was a new mother with a freshly laid clutch of eggs. However she was high above him and he remained still in slumber so in time she was at ease and took the time to fly off to find her breakfast. It was then that Ormagon did find himself awoken by a fierce hunger. Lo does he spy the unguarded nest above his head and wrestled with thoughts of an omelet. His choice was sudden and soon did he begin to climb to the nest. But Lo the mother sparrow finished with her countenance with the worms begins her flight back to her eggs only to find the human she had dismissed now making an attempt at her nest of eggs. Filled to the brim with a Mothers rage and fear the sparrow did make a rapid dive for the intruder. Ormagon distracted by his prize so close at hand did not notice the approach of the guardian of his would be breakfast. And so when the Mother sparrow laid beak upon his head he was caught unaware. Lo did the mother sparrow fight bravely and knocked Ormagon from the tree and onto his back leaving him breathless his head bleeding and his pride and ribs bruised. His pride at stake at the thought of a defeat from a simple sparrow, passion overcame him and instead of leaving the nest be he redoubled his efforts. The mother sparrow of course had not stopped observing this new threat to her nest and the moment he was able to get up she dove once more weaving and swooping in a manner most fierce and graceful. The onslaught was too rapid and the target too small to mount a proper defense and soon at the end of a sparrows beak Ormagon found himself overwhelmed, a prospect most distasteful to say the least. He could do little else but throw his arms up in a feeble defense against this small aggressor. Lo did the mother sparrow succeed in fighting him, pushing him back further and further from her nest. And closer to the edge of a swift and nearby river that Ormagon soon found himself falling into and being swept away by. After several minutes Ormagon wrestled himself from the river current, half drowned, Drenched, hungry, and broken in will and spirit he did give up on trekking all the way back just to defeat the sparrow. This day he learned a valuable lesson: Never raise a mothers ire whether they are beast or woman, large or small.

- I like the sense of humor and the poetic structure. There's a few small punctuation errors but other than that it's awesome. Sparrows rock. biggrin
