He chuckled darkly and put his arm around my shoulder, caressing my cheek with his free thumb, "so you think I'm a creeper, huh?"
I coughed as the smoke from the cigar in his hand burned my airways, "kinda!"
"And are you scared, little girl?" He stepped in front of me, putting the cigar back in his mouth and pulling my face closer to his.
I backed up against a wall, "N-no?" But I was...I was terrified. I'd never come this close to getting hurt before...he was already this close. A million thoughts ran through my head, I should have run, why'd I stop, what was he going to do? He took the cigar from his mouth and leaned down. I couldn't help it. Instinct took over and my fist swung out of my pocket, connecting hard with his mouth. He grunted, staggering backward, his hand flying up to hold his bleeding lips.
"You just made...a serious mistake,"
I urged my legs to run, begging them to just move, but in the moment it took for me to freeze, he had my hands behind my back in a vice like grip.
"Let me go! What the hell's wrong with you I said let me go!"
"pipe down sweetheart. I know you want the cops involved just as much as I do, so shut up and come with me". I was shocked. How the hell would he know I was on the run from the cops? I'd only been in this neighborhood for a few days... no one could have caught on that fast. I was pulled over to a dark blue car, a little dented in the front, and a little bit of paint chipping here and there. I growled quietly as I was roughly manuevered into the car. I tried the door as soon as it was closed. Locked. Duh. The man slipped into the drivers seat.
"Aright, doll, here's the deal. You turn me in, I turn you in. Yea I know your story, don't act so surprised. I've been observing you for a good solid month now, I'd say. Damn do you run fast girl or what? Do you know how much gas money I've spent chasing you? Just can't stay put, can you? So after realising that you weren't actually staying anywhere, I knew you must be some kind of homeless girl. So I did a little research and what do you know? A little miss Roxanne that looks a heck of a lot like you's gone missing a few states over just last year. Funny, huh? Turns out, the cops are looking for her, her parents are paying big cash to keep it that way on some charges of destruction of property, assault, said if they got her back she's be on probation for drinking and some other stuff...you wouldn't happen to know about any of that, would you now, cutie?"
I stared out of the window in silence...in awe. This creep had been stalking me...he had my background...and he was blackmailing me. If he was smart enough to figure out who I was, after all I had done to run and change myself, he could certainly help the police find me if I ran off. "Are you gonna kill me?" I asked. I closed my eyes, I didn't want to know the answer.
"I might," he answered casually. "Not likely though. I don't need to. You could never turn me in. Not unless you wanted to get found out. I'll just toss you back when I'm done with you..."
I shuddered. It sounded to me like I would rather be dead than whatever he was going to do. Torture, rape....I felt my nose prickle as tears started welling in my eyes. I didn't want this to happen to me. To get used and dumped back on my a**...infected with whatever memories he would plant in me. I had never been so scared in all of my life. Not so far back as I could remember anyway.
"I'm Jas, by the way. But you feel free to call me to call me "master" if you're tempted". Even from behind him I could tell he was smiling, no not smiling, something else. Smiles were beautiful, this was just evil humor.
"Trust me, I don't think that'll happen," I replied quietly. There was no point in trying to sound feirce anymore, I was done for. Buildings flew by at high speeds outside. My fingers found the cool glass surface of the window and I traced little designs on it with my fingertips as the feeling of confinement settled in the pit of my stomach.
"I'd stop at a hotel," Jas said from the front, "but I'm just so excited to get you back to your new home!" there was a dark humor behind his light sarcastic tone. He was clearly enjoying himself, and I was disgusted.
Somehow, shock and fear had taken over my headache, and a wave of exhaustion hit me like a ton of bricks. I slouched down in the back seat, curling my legs to my chest. I heard Jas talk, but the words didn't quite get to my brain. It didn't take long for the gentle swaying of the car and my keeper's strangely soft voice to help me slip into a strained and restless sleep.
