• Lunch began, i walked in a steady pace beside her but not too close, i didn't want people to get the wrong idea. "This school has your basic cliques:the jocks, the preps, the rich kids, the outcasts, and the popular kids", i said in a sigh as if i was already tired of this place. "i was homeschooled by my mother", Asuka said in a deep tone as if she were ashamed of having a lack of social life. "well you wouldn't have to worry because im your friend!" i said proudly as we picked our meals and took a seat at an empty table in the back of the cafeteria. I glanced at her with a soft smile then looked down and started digging in trying to talk to her with a mouthful, not a very attractive trait in my part but gimme a break im being honest! She signaled me as if i had something on my face, i reached for a napkin as she did and our hands met, i felt butterflies in the pit of my stomach, my head felt light with passion. I looked up at her and she looked at me, we had a moment, a great moment, the moment i've been waiting for.


    I snapped out of my second trance of the day as the bell rang, i stood up grabbing my books "yeah i better get to class"' i frantically grabbed a pen from near by and wrote my number down handing it to her. "call me kay?", I gave her one last smile and walked to class. The day went by quickly soon after that, i walked home to my tiny apartment and sat in my bed kicking off my shoes and turning on the tv, the sound of laughter and narrator of a local game show filling the room. I made some noodles and sat back on my bed enjoying the program, i jumped startled by the vibration from my phone and looked at the mysterious number on the screen, i answered with a questioning tone "hello?", "hey you its asuka!", i sighed in relief and bit my bottom lip "hey! its been a few hours" i laughed in a cheesey way. I know that came off as kind of desperate but i do like her...i know its kind of early to say but love at first sight exists, right? I let it slip from my mouth finally taking a breath "would you like to go out tommorow tonight, you know since its the weekend and all?", My heart was in my throat i expected a rejection, "YES I WOULD LOVE TO!" she said happily. "Really? okay well i better get some sleep. How does eight o'clock sound?" i gave her my address and blissfully hung up with her.

    Skipping, The next day had arrived, I stood in front of the mirror rehearsing things i could say "Hey baby you lookin fine!", "no no no!" I hit myself in the head the palm of my hand then stood like a cool guy in the movies "Sup Asuka how you doin?", i burst out laughing at my own idiotic behavior and then kneeled in front of the mirror with my eyes closed "Asuka?", "What?" "Will you marry me?" Thats when i realized that it wasnt a voice in my head. "The door was open i let myself in", I stood up wih the feeling as if i saw a ghost "ummmm i........", i didnt know what to say. "Let me grab my coat", I walked onto my bathroom hitting myself on the head "stupid stupid stupid!", I walked back out as if nothing happened with a smile "you ready?!" "wheres your coat?" "oh ummm my brother borrowed it" "You have a brother" "I dont know? maybe, Lets just go shall we?", We walked out and towards the surprise i had for her.
