They always seemed to get me in trouble. Some fell in love with them and tried to buy me for them but others wanted them melted to nothing. And then there were the ones who were jealous of them and just wanted to use me. Of course Alexion wouldn't let them take my eyes, not unless it involved Xyn.

Mr. Dyex didn’t stop walking until we were outside of the palace. His stagecoach was a sleek black and large enough for two on the inside. A man dressed properly hurriedly went to open the small door that led in to the stagecoach.
I stepped back, attempting to let Mr. Dyex climb into the carriage. Mr. Dyex sneered at me, grabbing my swollen arm and pushing me forward.
“You aren’t going to be used as slave in my home, Rainbow Eyes.” Mr. Dyex grabbed my hand and helped me into the stagecoach.
When I took my seat, Mr. Dyex climbed in and sat across from me. His knee brushed the inside of my thigh since he was so tall and I blushed. Mr. Dyex realized what had happened and cleared his throat.
“I didn’t buy you to make you a slave; I bought you for those precious eyes of yours. You are a very pretty girl.” Mr. Dyex whistled, signaling the driver to start the carriage.
“They are for more than show, sir.” I mumbled.
Mr. Dyex sat forward, a greedy grin spreading over his lips. “Care to explain what you mean?” He let out a chuckle as he realized he was inches from my face.
“Can you ask the driver to stop? It is easier to show you than to explain.” At Mr. Dyex’s whistle, the carriage stopped.
I climbed out. We were on the edge of the forest that was to the west of palace. I swallowed back my remaining tears. Mr. Dyex was behind me, watching intently so I wasn’t about to cry. Instead, I drew on the green colors in the area.
Leaves fluttered in the air and spun around my head. A green mist exploded out of the leaves and started danced around my entire body. Soon my body spun into a mist and I appeared behind Mr. Dyex.
“Behind you,” I said and Mr. Dyex spun around.
The grin returned. “You are a rare find, my darling. Can you do things with other colors?” At my nod he grinned so wide that fangs poked out of his mouth.
When we finally got to his house a few hours later I gained the strength to ask him where we were in terms of direction. “We are in Base City. It is about four hours from your old home.”
I frowned and I fiddled with my hands. “Master Alexion must be happy that I’m so far away.”
“Don’t call him that. He’s not your master, if anyone is I am.” Mr. Dyex seemed proud of this fact. “He was a moron to give you up, Rainbow Eyes.”
“Yes, Master Dyex.” I dropped to my knees and bowed, deeply.
Mr. Dyex’s eyes flared with anger and he gripped my wrist when I had sat up. He pulled me to my feet and tucked me in to his body. His eyes were a silver color that spun inside their globe.
“Do not address me as Master. My name is Elaxion, Alexion’s twin brother. Address me by my first name, Rainbow Eyes.”
I was blushing at the closeness of our bodies. Elaxion moved his body against mine and I shivered, He looked so much like Alexion that it hurt and I was tempted.
“Why did you buy me, Elaxion? I mean, if that isn’t out of my range of asking.” I whispered, trying to limit my inhale of Elaxion’s cologne.
“Alexion wanted someone he could trust to buy his favorite servant from him. He called me last night when he was having troubles and asked if I was willing to do as such. I agreed but, my, I had no idea you were so pretty or so special.” Elaxion rested his lips against my neck and ran his fangs over my bare skin.
I let out a groan of agreement before trying to push away. Tears returned to my eyes and I spun away from Elaxion. I shook, trying to stop thinking about Alexion’s lips on mine and the joy I found. It wasn’t the same with his twin, which would be the closest to being with him.
“You love him.” It wasn’t a question but an assumption. “That must be a harsh thing to deal with, Rainbow Eyes. If I had your love there would be no way I’d let you go.”
“Alexion gave me a chance to tell him how I felt but I was too scared of being rejected to tell him. He didn’t want me after that.”
A very male growl came from behind me and then I felt arms wrapping around my waist. Elaxion was trying to comfort me and I accepted the attempt. His left hand slipped up my side and eventually made its way to my hair.
“You are so beautiful. I could live in this hair of yours.” Elaxion turned me so that I was fully pressed into his chest. “Has he ever held you this close, Rainbow Eyes?”
I thought of the one time that he had. It had been so long since I had even thought about it. “It was when I had first gotten to the house all those years ago. I was so frightened to be in a new place and he looked so nice that I started to cry in front of him. He had gathered me in his arms and stroked my hair, much like you’re doing now.”
“What happened after that, Rainbow Eyes?”
“Alexion held me through the night. Every once in a while he would whisper sweet things in my ear and tuck me into him when I started shaking again. I wanted to go home. I wanted to be with my family and he made me feel like I was his family.” I tried to shake off the feeling of crying.
“I want to make you feel like my family, Rainbow Eyes.” He grabbed my hand and pulled me towards a chair.
His massive body deflated all the air in the foam of the chair. When he was comfortable he pulled me into his lap. I felt like a child who was sitting on Santa’s lap for the first time; awkward and yet oddly comfortable.
His hand drifted to my back and the other he placed on top of my hands. He was like a muscular, powerful guardian and I was honored that he cared enough to act this way towards me.
“Look at me, Rainbow Eyes.” Elaxion’s voice was lower and it actually sounded sweet.
“My name is Xerux.” I whispered.
“Well, Xerux, will you look at me?” His hand that was resting on mine clutched my chin and turned my head towards him. “You’re so tense.”
He lowered his head and his lips pushed against mine. A burst of shivers ran over my spine and I clung on to Elaxion with all of my might. I needed the comfort that kiss offered. I felt dirty wanting- needing- it.
Then my senses came back and I stumbled away from him, falling flat on my butt. Elaxion looked stunned and then his grin returned.
“I’m going to enjoy my time with you, Xerux.” He stood up and grabbed my arm. “It’s late, my darling. Let me show you to your room and I’ll have my servant Rin bring you some food.”
