    Chapter One

    “Nyu! Nyu!” The pinked haired, pink eyed, 18 year old girl jumped up and down in her seat. Prodding her empty dish at the boy sitting next to her. He had black hair and ocean blue eyes.

    “Calm down Nyu, we will eat as soon as Yuka comes.” The boy said looking at Nyu with a playful smile.

    Nyu turned to the other two people at the table, one was like Nyu with pink hair, only hers was cut short, almost boyish with pink eyes. Well the other had brown hair, barely touching her shoulders and brown eyes.

    “Food! Nyu!” She looked at them wide-eyed extending her arm over the table, with the bowl in her hand.

    “You heard what Kohta said, not until Yuka arrives.” The one with the pink hair spoke.

    Nyu retracted her dish sitting it down, she stared at it intently. Soon after foot steps could be heard coming down the stairs. Another girl with short, brown hair and eyes emerged.

    “Hello, I’m sorry to keep you all waiting.” Yuka smiled taking a seat on the other side of Kohta.

    “Nyu! Food!” She prodded Kohta again, he smiled and started to fill up her dish, as everyone else filled up theirs and began eating.

    “What took so long?” Mayu, the girl with the shoulder length brown hair asked across the table.

    “Oh nothing, just a little business.” Yuka said, smiling.

    “What kind of business?“ Kohta now questioned eating his food.

    “It’s nothing. So, Today is the first day of Summer Vacation, what do you guys all have planned.” Yuka said changing the subject.

    Mayu looked at Nana, the pinked haired girl sitting next to her and they squealed jumping in their seats.

    “Shopping!” They both said in unison.

    “Shop-ing…” Nyu said after, questioningly.

    “Shopping is when you go to a store and buy cloths.” Kohta explained.

    Nyu smiled brightly, putting down her empty bowl, jumping up and tugging at her shirt. “Clothes! Clothes!”

    “Yes Nyu, those are clothes.” Kohta nodded smiling and laughing as everyone else did at that table.

    After everyone finished eating, there was nothing but empty dishes and full stomachs. Nana and Mayu both took all the dishes and started to wash them, by hand. Yuka went back to her room preparing to take a bath. Kohta and Nyu were in the living room, Kohta had a little red box on his lap, it was open and playing a soft melody. They both stared at the box softly then Nyu looked up, and at Kohta.

    “Kohta…” Nyu said closing the lid of the box.

    Kohta looked up in surprise.

    “Kohta! Kohta! Kohta!” Nyu jumped up and down on the couch, tackling Kohta , falling on his back and off the couch, with his legs in the air. Nyu still on the couch peaked her head over.

    “Kohta?” She questioned looking down at him, he crossed his arms. Instantly Nyu grabbed his feet and began to tickle them mercilessly.

    “Nyu… stop…Nyu….i’m begging you!” He said in-between fits of laughter. Then Nyu fell off the couch, and on top of Kohta. At the same moment, Yuka emerged from the stairs, looking at the two of them. Tears threatened to fill her eyes. She dropped her head.

    “Oh, I…I’m sorry.’’ She said then ran out of the house.

    “Yuka! Wait…” He said struggling to get up, Nyu got off of him, and they looked at each other for a moment, before Nyu started to tickle his sides.

    Nana and Mayu entered the room looking at them both, laughing.

    “We are leaving at 12:30 so if you coming you better get dressed!”

    “Nyu!” Nana took Nyu by the hand and dragged her up the stairs with Mayu trailing behind, leaving Kohta to get ready himself.

    An hour later, Nana, Mayu, Kohta, and Nyu were all down stairs, it was now 12:40, impatiently waiting for Yukas arrival. Soon 12:50 rolled by. It was apparent that Yuka was not going shopping with them. So they left without her. Walking down the streets, taking a few turns. Kohta and Nyu were in back of Nana and Mayu, whom were talking about what they wanted to buy. Ny and Kohta stayed silent. Soon after they had arrived at the mall. They all agreed to meet each other at the food court in one hour. Nana, Mayu, dragged Nyu to a store, well Kohta browsed around looking for a gift to give Yuka.

    “Nyu! Nyu!” Nyu grabbed a hanger, on it held a white skirt with big green dots. Mayu and Nana laughed. Nyu had picked out and bought some of the weirdest clothes in the store. Well Mayu, stayed with plain items, and Nana mostly bought summer dresses. They all laughed and walked out of the last store. Mayu checked the time on her watch.

    “It’s time to go meet Kohta.” They all smiled and started walking.

    “Kohta! Nyu! Nyu!” She ran toward him, he was sitting alone at a large table, with a small bag at his side. On the table was a load of food. Kohta looked at them and the amount of bags in their hands.

    “What did you do? By the entire store?” They all laughed together sitting down, eating their food.

    When they were finished it was 3’o’clock, they had decided it was time to go home. Once they arrived Yuka opened the door for them, with a smile.

    “Lets go into the living room, you can show me what you all bought.” She said, then started toward the living room, taking a seat. Mayu, Nana, Kohta, and Nyu followed. They all showed the clothes they bought then took them upstairs to their rooms.

    “Sorry we went without you, we figured you weren’t coming, we waited 10 minutes.” Kohta explained, then gave her a small red bag. Yuka looked at it and stuck her hand in, pulling out a small velvet box. She looked at the box then at Kohta.

    “Open it.” He smiled. She placed her hand on the lid opening it, inside was a necklace. She placed her fingers over it and smiled, hugging Kohta tightly.

    “Thank you Kohta.” She said, her eyes becoming glassy.

    “You’re welcome.” Kohta patted her on the back. Then the hug broke as the rest of the gang came down stairs.
