It is morning. Tarryn's blue eyes are closed from the world. Black hair fans around her head. She is sleeping. She seems peaceful and serene. That is, until her alarm rings..... 'AAAAHHHH!!!" she screams. She begins feeling around looking for the unseen monster that was seeming to make the noise. Then the rest of her woke up. Remembering that she had an ALARM CLOCK, she sheepishly turns it off. She begins to feel for her door.
Because when I said Tarryn's eyes were closed from the world, I meant it.
Tarryn is blind.

Across from town is a row of houses. In one of the houses, lives a smart, active girl named Trisha. Trisha is eating breakfast at the moment. Eating as fast as possible. She is scared of not making it to school on time. You would think that she shouldn't be TOO worried about that, but she wants to be the first one in school out of her friends for a change. She seems to always end up last. Drinking the last bit of orange juice, she pulls on her coat and heads out to school. At least, TRIES to. Her mom blocks her way. "No school today!" She announces. Trisha doesn't know whether to feel relieved or disappointed.

Brandon doesn't know what to do. No school, and instead of going out to enjoy the snow like a normal person, he's stuck inside. All because he has to clean his room. Sighing, he looks outside. The pale winter sun shines brighter. What right does it have to shine so bright? His life stinks. Almost as soon as he thinks that, a cloud covers the sun. He finally decides to get to work.

Jacob feels like the most average guy ever. Nothing exciting ever happens to him. He wakes up, eats breakfast, and goes to school. He wishes he was more like his brother Aaron. AARON radiates pure "cool". AARON is the star athlete. Every boy is jealous of AARON. AARON is the subject of every 8th grade girl's daydreams. And Jacob? 78ths of the student body probably don't know he's alive.
Go Figure.

Finally, there's Erica. She feels like the most loneliest girl in the world. She is alone, ignored. Nobody likes her. She looks outside. The sky is the palest of blue.
A snowflake falls.

- Title: The Snowfall; Chapter one

Description:
A simple story about a winter and how it affected the lives of a group of kids (teens, preteens, whatever). This is also probably the fist time I wrote in present tense.
By the way this is chapter one. If this goes well, (and I hope it does) I'll make a Chapter two. - Date: 12/21/2008
