• EXT. HIGH SCHOOL - 7 YEARS LATER

    The school bell just rang and all the students were packing up to go home. Meanwhile Amaya was at her locker getting her books; suddenly a boy walked up to her.

    AMYAYA
    ( closing her locker, she smiles at him )
    Hi Shin.

    SHIN
    Hey, you want me to walk ya home?

    AMAYA
    No, I can manage today.

    SHIN
    You sure?

    AMYAYA
    ( she hugs him and replies )
    Yea…I’ll be fine.

    SHIN
    K….see ya later.

    Amaya let go of Shin and ran out the front doors of the school. A few minutes later she arrived at an apartment building. She looked up at the building and next began heading up the steps. Once she reached her door, she took a deep breath and pushed the door open to greet her family.

    EXT. APARTMENT - AFTERNOON

    STEP MOM
    ( turning to greet Amaya )
    Welcome home Amaya; is your brother with you?

    AMAYA
    ( replies back while taking off her shoes )
    No, but don’t worry…he’s probably hanging with a
    couple of his friends.

    STEP MOM
    ( she picks up the keys and heads to the front door )
    I’m going out to pick up some things for dinner; your sister
    is spending the night over Shari’s house….so don’t forget to
    take her some clothes. I’ll be back in a few.

    After her mom left, Amaya packed a bag of clothes to take to Shari’s house. As she was getting ready to lock the front door, her brother Noshiro walks up beside her.

    NOSHIRO
    Hey where are you going?

    AMAYA
    Oh……I’m taking clothes over to Shari’s house…..I’ll be
    back soon.

    NOSHIRO
    ( staring at her blankly )
    Where’s mom?

    AMAYA
    ( looking away )
    She went out to get dinner……sorry……I…I have to go.

    Amaya ran off down the stairs and on her way to Shari’s house. As she was getting closer, she passed an old house surrounded by a thick coat of trees. As Amaya kept walking, a glare of white light shimmered from the trees. She blinked and rubbed her eyes; when she opened her eyes the light had vanished. She ignored it and kept strolling to her destination. As she arrived, she knocked on the door. An old woman came to the door and greeted Amaya.

    EXT. SHARI’S HOUSE - EVENING

    WOMAN
    ( cheerfully greeting Amaya with a hug )
    Hello, you must be Miori’s sister! Your mother never
    Told me how pretty you were!

    AMAYA
    ( pulling her off )
    Thank you….I brought Miori some clothes.

    WOMAN
    ( taking the bag from Amaya )
    You came all this way to bring her clothes….how
    thoughtful, you must be tired. Please come in. come in.

    AMAYA
    No thanks, I should really get home.

    WOMAN
    ( grabbing Amaya’s hand )
    No, no….I insist you come in.

    AMAYA
    Okay.

    Amaya walked in behind the woman and followed her into the living room. The woman signaled Amaya to take a seat. The woman sat on the opposite side.

    WOMAN
    ( yelling in the direction of the kitchen )
    Shoharu come here!!

    A boy about 17 came pacing out of the kitchen and into the living room. He stood there looking at his mom and then at Amaya.

    WOMAN
    ( pointing at Amaya )
    Son this is Amaya; she’s Ms. Kinski’s daughter.

    SHOHARU
    ( turning away from her )
    I know who she is; she’s the girl of that jerk Shin.

    AMAYA
    ( stands up and bows )
    Thanks for inviting me in, but I should really get home.

    Amaya walks out the front door and starts strolling home. As she passes the old house again, she stops and stares at it.

    AMAYA
    ( says to her )
    I better make this fast, it’s almost dark.

    EXT. OLD HOUSE - EVENING

    Amaya starts to move through the woods towards the house. As she reaches the house, she climbs the steps to the front door. She knocks twice at the door, but there is no answer. She climbs down and goes around back to see if se could find a way in. when she reached the back, she discovered a pond. It was as clear as glass with a mesmerizing beauty. She forgot all about the house and headed towards the pond. As she reached the pond, she bent down to touch the water.

    AMAYA
    ( looking at her reflection )
    How can a place like this have such a clean pond?
    Okay…….I should get home.

    Once Amaya stood up, she slipped into the water. She lets out a scream and begins to see a white light.

    AMAYA
    ( looking at the light and saying to herself )
    Am I……going to die?........I…..I can’t.

    EXT. MOON ISLAND - EVENING

    Amaya begins to swim to the surface. Once she arrived at the top she began coughing and gasping for air. She paddles to the edge and steps out.

    AMAYA
    ( wringing out her skirt and looking around )
    Mom’s going to kill me for getting my new uniform
    all wet!……..Where am I?

    Amaya hiked around, she found that she really wasn’t in Tokyo anymore. She had noticed that she was standing on a large hill and in front of her stood an entire city. As she looked further on, she could see a structure that resembled that of a castle.
