• Prologue

    Humans. They’re so self-centered, thinking they’re the only intelligent life forms. My people have been living for at least 10,000 years longer than them and Earth is the only planet to not be under my control.

    Yes, my control. I am Queen Nakatia, I rule the universe from the planet Ophena. I have ruled for 2,000 years now. But my planet is in a panic. The King has just died, after 5,000 years seeing as that’s as long as each ruler lives.

    Wait, what? Why am I 2,000 years old and the King dead?
    When created, the first queen was the only ruler but after 2,000 years she crowned a king. As king and queen, they live 5,000 years from the day crowned. And not human years either; ours is much longer than theirs.
    Anyway, after the first king the opposite ruler would live 3,000 years after the crowning of the other.

    Oh, yes, the problem. Well normally when the king or queen dies, on the same day a child that’s just been born would have a bright light to its aura that everyone could see. This light would stay for 5 years if never crowned.
