It's not that graphic (a little blood never hurt anyone, eh?)
Overall I think its pretty good. Sometimes what people fail to realize is that cliches are just things people find to be everywhere, and that they're trite/overused. Just because cutting is common in our modern world doesn't mean that it's something we should ignore.
